  • The borrower’s name is required to start an application.
  • The primary borrower has the authority to add or remove any co-borrowers from the application before completing the "Getting Started" section of the application. Once the section is completed, the option to edit that section of the application is locked.

Removing a co-borrower from the application

In Blend, the co-borrower information is locked in after starting the application. Co-borrowers can only be removed before they activate their account and begin the application. To remove a co-borrower after the application is submitted, you'll need to export the application as is and follow your lender's internal procedures to modify the borrowers in your LOS.

To remove the co-borrower before they are invited or activated their account, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Borrower information section on the Application screen.
  2. Click Manage Borrowers.

  3. Click the X in the Co-Borrower section.
  4. Click Remove. The borrower's information will be deleted from the screen.
  5. Click Save.
