You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.

Announcements (2)
(Update) Blend Loan Number will now be included Blend-generated email notifications
Update 2/12: We are pulling this release out of this week’s deployments until further notice to improve the configurability of this change and allow for customers to opt-in this update. A new Announcement will be added to Release Notes when we are ready to introduce this to beta and production environments.
Starting next week, Blend-generated email notifications to borrowers will include the Blend loan number in the footer and optionally in the subject line or body copy. This change will apply to virtually all email notifications for mortgage applications. Adding the loan number to these email templates will allow loan team members and borrowers to properly associate the email to the correct loan in Blend. The loan number will appear in the footer by default like this:
Customers can also opt-in to having the loan number configured to display in other areas of the email notification content (email subject line, email body) for specific email notification templates, as desired. Reach out to your Blend representative or Blend Support if you are interested in updating specific email templates to include the loan number attribute.
Customers will see this change in emails generated from beta environments starting on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, and in production environments on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Blend-Encompass Additional Services Integration Removed from Encompass SmartClient on February 19, 2024
We’ve previously communicated that the Encompass Additional Services integration has been deprecated from support. We are sharing communication that on approximately 2/19/24, the legacy integration that has been accessed within Encompass SmartClient under Services - > Additional Services -> Blend will no longer be accessible. This integration no longer is needed as all customers have been migrated to our NextGen integration or have alternate means of exporting loans from Blend to Encompass.
Maintenance Announcements (1)
RDS Instances Upgrade
Description:
We will be upgrading our RDS instances in our Beta and Prod environments to take advantage of AWS's new graviton instances. All instances in Beta and Prod that are currently running on non-graviton instances will be switched to graviton ones. This will require a small amount of downtime for several services at Blend.
Will there be downtime associated with this maintenance?
Yes
If there will be downtime, will any failed tasks be retried after maintenance is done?
All affected tasks will be retried after maintenance is finished, particularly disclosures.
What services or products are affected?
App-engine,borrower-sync,coordinate-organizer,disclosures,envelope,event-comparer,identity,income-verification,platform-reports,pricing
For the App-engine service:
App engine will not be able to handle module registration while the upgrade is in progress. This may result in errors in external app engine module service pods starting as a good chunk of them perform module registration on pod startup.
For documents and disclosures services (borrower-sync, coordinate-organizer, envelope, disclosures):
We will have a platform level outage for documents, eSign, and disclosure systems. Some LOS synchronization of borrowers will be unavailable.
For platform services (event-comparer, platform-reports):
These are Blend internal services not currently being used by any customers and do not serve the reporting endpoints that are being used by customers. No impact to customers expected while these services undergo this maintenance.
For all other services listed:
All of these other services listed, including services that rely on them, will likely experience downtime or have higher rates of errors during the upgrade.
How will this impact the borrower app?
Some requests related to the services and products listed above may fail to the app during this time. All areas of the app will be affected.
How will this impact the lender app?
Some requests related to the services and products listed above may fail to the app during this time. All areas of the app will be affected.
Beta period:
12am-2am PT ~ Thursday Feb 15th 2024
Prod period:
12am-2am PT ~ Thursday Feb 22nd 2024
