Blend loan applications have various steps for borrowers to complete. Application statuses in the pipeline indicate where exactly the application is within the application process and help loan officers track the application progress for their borrowers.
Blend application statuses
Pending Email Invitation
This is status is shown when the lender creates a loan application but has yet to invite the borrower.
Email Invitation Sent
This status is shown when the lender sends the application invitation to the borrower.
Application Ready to Start
This status is shown when the borrower creates their account but has yet to start their first application. This status is also shown for any repeat applications the borrower has not started (as their account had already been created).
Application in Progress
This status is shown when the borrower begins their application but before they submit it.
Application Completed
This status is shown after the borrower has submitted the data portion of their application. On a two-borrower application, this status shows up when both borrowers have submitted their application.
1/2 Submitted
This means a two-borrower application is in a pre-submission state and only one borrower has completed their application. In other words, if a borrower who has submitted their application has stated that they're applying with another applicant but the other applicant has not started their application yet or their application is in progress.
1/2 Progress or 2/2 Progress
These statuses reflect a post-submission loan in which one or both borrowers, respectively, have logged into their accounts and activated them.
Underwriting/Closing
These statuses are milestones in the application process but are currently not active.
Note: While the Underwriting and Closing statuses are options available in Blend, we are currently in the process of building out functionality to support them.
