Purpose of Update and Benefit: Loan officers using Polly currently run pricing through Blend's native pricing flow, which is limited to what Blend has built into the platform. This update introduces the embedded Polly experience (also referred to as Polly iframe or External Session), an alternative that lets loan officers launch Polly's full pricing interface directly from within Blend, explore products and rates, and have generated quotes sync back to the loan record automatically.
Because loan officers access Polly directly, new Polly features become available as soon as Polly releases them, without waiting for a Blend update.
Current Behavior: Loan officers using Polly run pricing through Blend's native pricing flow. The available feature set is limited to what Blend has built, and new Polly capabilities require a Blend release before they become available.
New Behavior: Loan officers can now launch Polly's full pricing interface directly from a loan in Blend (opens in a new browser tab). The first available mode is Scenario Mode, a "shopping mode" that lets loan officers explore and compare products and rates without making any commitment. Basic loan details carry over automatically. Loan officers can generate up to 6 product scenarios, then return to Blend, where those scenarios appear on the loan record automatically.
No LOS integration is required. The embedded experience works using the basic loan information already in Blend.
Loan officers can also run pricing from the pipeline via Check Rates, which launches the embedded experience without a full loan application on file.
Borrowers do not interact with Polly directly. If a loan officer chooses to share scenarios with the borrower, the resulting product options will be visible in the borrower's Blend portal.
