Applicable Products: Any lenders using Blend’s flagship platform to collect mortgage and/or home equity applications
The Challenge: For lenders focused on delivering an efficient, omnichannel origination experience, capturing early-funnel leads—whether in-branch or over the phone—is essential. However, the existing Blend workflow for home equity requires starting with a full application, which is designed for comprehensive intake. This can create friction during early customer interactions, particularly for non-originators who may not be as familiar with the loan process.
The Solution: Blend has expanded the Quick Intake Form—previously available only for first mortgage purchase and refinance—to now support home equity loans and lines of credit. This enhancement enables users to start a lead using a simplified form across multiple home loan types, including:
Purchase
First lien refinance
HELOC
Home equity loan
Users can initiate a lead directly from the “Create New Loan” workflow and specify relevant loan terms upfront.
Solution Highlights: The Quick Intake Form for home equity loan products is a great way to support both your in-branch and over-the-phone loan teams:
Quickly capture key details about the application, information necessary to pull credit, and the terms of the loan they would like to explore, whether for a purchase, first lien refinance, HELOC, or home equity loan.
Save leads created through this form as applications that can be completed more fully by your loan teams at a later date, or invite the borrower directly from the form to complete the rest of the application.
Allow non-originators to create and assign loan records to licensed loan officers for follow-up.
