Date Available: Beta 1/28/25, Prod: 2/4/25

Which customers are impacted?: Customers using Consumer Banking templates where magic links are enabled.

Required?: Yes, this is a required release. This enhancement is only available for users who have enabled Magic Links.

How to turn on: This enhancement will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above for users who have magic links enabled.

Purpose of Update and Benefit: In this release, we've improved the authentication flow for Magic Link users by eliminating the need for them to manually request a magic link after navigating past the sign-in form. Additionally, we've enhanced the confirmation page that appears after the magic link is sent, refining the messaging and removing the "resend link" button. These changes will provide a clearer user experience, ensuring users know their magic link has been sent and reducing the temptation to click the "resend" button multiple times.

Current Behavior:
Previously, Magic Link users were redirected to a second page where they had to manually click a button to send themselves a magic link after attempting to sign in.

Existing magic link screen

New Behavior:
With this update, Magic Link users will now be automatically sent a magic link upon sign-in attempt, followed by a confirmation page indicating that the magic link has been successfully sent to their email. If a user needs to request a new magic link, they can easily return to the sign-in page by clicking the back button.
