Purpose of Update and Benefit

Blend loan teams allow you to provide any team member access to an application. In this release, we are adding two long-requested enhancements to our existing loan team feature. 

1. You can now enable and disable notifications for each member of the loan team. This will allow you to be part of a loan team without receiving application email updates. For example, branch managers are often part of many loan teams in order to get access to all applications; however, they don’t want to receive email notifications on every application.

2. As an administrator, you will have the ability to create and update default loan teams for your users. 

   1. Example: When a new loan officer joins your organization, you can set their default loan team for them at the same time that you create a user account for them in Blend.

   2. Example: If a processor leaves your organization, you can update your loan officer’s default loan team and replace the processor. 

Current Behavior

1. Default Loan Teams: Each user can set up their default loan team under Account Settings. Going forward, default loan team members will be added to and given access to applications with you. 

2. Application Loan Teams: Each user can provide access to an application by manually adding other users to the specific application loan team.

3. User Profile: The current user creation/edit modal design

New Behavior 

1. Default Loan Teams: We are maintaining all existing functionality and adding the ability to mute notifications on default loan teams. 

2. Application Loan Teams: We are maintaining all existing functionality and adding the ability to mute notifications on the application loan team.

3. User Profile: We are updating the layout and styling for adding new users or editing existing users in Blend. This new experience will also allow admins to configure default loan teams on behalf of their users.
