Date Available: Available now in beta and production environments.
Which customers are impacted?: All Blend customers.
How to turn on: This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
With this release, lenders can configure a tenant-wide email reminder cadence that is automatically applied for all loans and all loan officers. This is an enhancement to the previously-announced user-level email settings functionality.
Current Behavior:
Currently, email reminders are sent either using the baseline reminder settings, or user-level settings if the user has updated their settings at any point.
New Behavior:
The tenant-level settings can be located in the Setup panel (Your Settings -> Setup -> Email Reminders).
Users will only be able to access the Email Reminders page if the following Role Permissions are set to “Always” for their account:
The email reminder cadence for incomplete application emails, Follow-up emails and Disclosure package emails are available to configure, with options to indicate the number of reminders to be sent to the borrower as well as the frequency of those email reminders. User admins can set a different cadence or can turn off automatic reminders for each reminder type.
Users can select the frequency of reminders using the radio buttons on this page, and change the total number of reminders that are sent to borrowers using the text box under “Number of reminders.” Users must click “Save changes” at the bottom of this page in order for the changes to take effect in the tenant. To revert to default settings (Every 48 hours, Number of reminders: 3), users can click the “Reset defaults” button at the bottom of this page. The maximum number of reminders that can be configured is 10.
If both user-level and tenant-level settings are configured, Blend will send email reminders respecting the following waterfall:
Based on this waterfall, if a User Admin has altered email reminder settings, but an individual user has also saved their own settings, the email reminder cadence in Blend will default to the individual user settings first.
