Purpose of Update and Benefit:
Currently, during hybrid closings, closers have no insight into when ink sign documents have been accessed by the settlement agent as part of the closing process. This can create additional back-and-forth between the closer and the settlement agent to confirm the documents have been accessed and no issues have been found. With this release, closers will now be notified via email once the settlement agent has downloaded the ink sign documents. This enhancement will allow closers to more easily monitor the progress and if needed, proactively reach out to the settlement agent if they notice these documents haven’t yet been accessed as the closing date nears.
New Behavior
During a hybrid closing, anytime a settlement agent has downloaded the ink sign documents, an email notifying the closer of the settlement agent's action will be sent directly to the closer. The subject line will contain the loan number that the notification is in reference to so that closers can easily distinguish between any loans they may be working on at a given time.
