Purpose of Update and Benefit:
Blend is providing customer user admins the ability to configure a subset of features on their own, without needing to engage Blend Support or their account teams. Our first step of this process was to update the UI for the Users, Roles (now called “Role Permissions”) and Credentials pages. Our next, and last, step is to expose more configuration options within the new Setup page to allow user admins even greater control over their environments.
User admins will now see and have access to four additional pages within the Setup section: Organization, Branding, Analytics, and Setup Audit. These new pages will only be visible to users with the “Edit client-facing system config” permission set to Always.
Over time, we intend to expose more options within the Setup page so that a lender’s user admin(s) can self-serve more of their configuration requests without having to wait for Blend intervention.
Current Behavior:
All of the configurations in these pages are only viewable by Blend employees. Lenders need to work through Blend Support or another Blend representative in order to change anything in these sections.
New Behavior
User admins need to make sure they have the “Edit client-facing system config” permission set to Always in order to see these pages. User admins will see a “Setup” option added to the dropdown under “Your settings”. For a short duration of time Admin users will be able to access both the new “Setup” and old “Admin” experience, however we plan to retire “Admin” in the near future.
After clicking “Setup,” users will see all accessible pages stacked on the left-hand navigation. The new pages will appear under the Settings and Security headings.
Note: The accessible pages will default to this order, however each page will continue to be gated by the same permissions as before. A user who does not have the “View Users” permission will not see “Users” in the navigation. A user who does not have “View roles” will not see “Role Permissions.” A user who does not have “Edit client-facing system config” will not see “Credentials,” “Organization,” “Branding,” “Analytics,” or “Setup Audit.”
Organization
Configurations in this section will allow user admins to update key information about their organization. This information can be added in the General tab.
The Support Contact Info tab allows lenders to set general contact information for various Blend products within your tenant.
We only show support info for products that are enabled in your environment. For example, if you have HELOC and Auto loans enabled in your environment, we will show those fields.
Click “Edit” to make these fields editable, and don’t forget to click “Save” after you’ve made changes.
Branding
This page includes configurations around branding for your environment. Click “Edit” to make changes, and click “Save” when you are done. Customers can review this Help Center Article for more information on these options.
Analytics
The configurations on this page control the various tag managers that we support in the Blend platform (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Ensighten Manage, Adobe Launch, Tealium).
You will only see this page if you have any tag managers configured in your environment already, and you will also only see the ones that have been configured (for instance, you will not see Tealium fields if you do not have it configured). Please contact Blend Support or your Blend representative in order to configure these settings.
Setup Audit
This is a read-only page that shows an audit trail for all edits made to the Credentials, Organization, Branding, and Analytics setup pages.
The last 20 entries will be visible on this page. You can download all edits made over the last month as a CSV through the link at the top of the page.
