Purpose of Update and Benefit:

Many lenders have branch-specific FHA Lender IDs that are required when submitting to AUS for FHA loan products. We’ve added a new set of configurations that will allow these IDs to be set for individual users.

This is an opt-in configuration that can be managed by a lender’s user admins through the Setup and Account pages.

Current Behavior:

Today, we only support configuring a single global FHA Lender ID at the tenant level.

New Behavior

Once a user has configured branch-level FHA Lender ID within their profile, all AUS runs completed in the Blend platform will pull from this ID rather than from the global ID.

In order to configure this, user admins will need the “Edit client-facing system config,” “View Users” and “Edit Users” Role Permissions set to Always

Configuration steps:

To enable this in your environment, click on “Your settings,” from the right side of the header, and then “Setup” from the dropdown.

Click into the Credentials page and scroll to the Desktop Underwriter section. Even though this configuration is nested in the DU section, the FHA fields will apply to both DU and LPA.

Click “Edit” in the right side of the footer to make these fields editable. Check the box next to “Use branch-level FHA Lender IDs (These can be configured on the user's profile)”

Click Save to save these changes.

Navigate to the Users tab using the left-side navigation. Using the search bar, search for the user you need to edit, then click “Edit” in the far right of the row.

On the Edit User Profile page, fill in the three FHA fields, as applicable (FHA Lender ID, FHA Sponsor ID, Sponsored Originator EIN). Click “Update user” in the far right of the footer to save these changes.
