Available: Available now, Opt-In
Which customers are impacted?: All customers using Blend for mortgage applications.
How to turn on: This will not automatically be turned on for our customers. It will be available beginning on the dates listed above. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
In 2022, Blend introduced the USPS address verification feature. At the time, the feature only showed a flag to confirm that the address was verified. Blend is now updating this feature so that a document is generated indicating that the address has been verified.
Customers must also have the USPS address verification feature enabled in order to see this new change.
Current Behavior:
There is currently no PDF report generated for address verifications.
New Behavior:
If enabled, the USPS address verification feature will generate a PDF report summarizing and confirming the address verification for each address that is verified in Blend. If an address is changed, a new document will be created. This will occur for each address in the application model (subject property address, primary borrower’s current address, primary borrower’s mailing address, REO property address[es], and the tax transcript filing address [this only appears in the borrower application]). The address type will be visible in the header of the report.
These reports will be available in the Docs tab in the lender application only and exported to the LOS like all other documents generated in Blend. As previously mentioned, there will be a new document created for each verified address.
