Blend's Reference loan number and UUID

Loan UUIDs play an important role when troubleshooting or reporting a bug to Blend Support. Loan reference numbers can be manually set by lenders (role permitting) or via the API. Blend UUIDs on the other hand, are unique. Learn the differences between a Reference loan number and a Blend loan UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) and where to find them.

Reference loan number

The Reference loan number (commonly known as "loan number") can be found in the Loan information section of the application.

Things to note

• Reference loan numbers can be updated manually by lenders or via the API.
• Reference loan numbers will be updated to match your LOS after export (If your LOS is integrated with Blend and the feature is supported for your LOS).
• Reference loan numbers are not unique identifiers, therefore more than one loan can have the same number.

Blend UUID

The Blend UUID is a unique 32 alphanumeric string included in the URL (Unique Resource Locator) located in the address bar of your browser.

Things to note

• Blend UUIDs are assigned to a Blend loan during creation.
• Unlike a Reference loan number, a Blend UUID is unique on every loan.

Activity Feed Events

When the loan number is changed after a successful export, the activity feed will show the following event:

If the loan number is updated manually, the activity feed will show the following event:

User edited loan
Lender Case Identifier - Loan Identifier
137826
