Required?: Yes, this is a required release. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in the codebase, and typically do not require additional configuration. 

How to turn on: This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above.

Purpose of Update and Benefit: Desktop Underwriter (DU) retired the file type code Blend used to request the DU findings PDF. Since then, Blend has stored a PDF rendered from the DU findings HTML  as the findings document. This update corrects the file type code Blend sends to DU so that DU returns its own generated findings PDF, which is then stored on the loan.

Current Behavior: When DU runs, Blend requests the findings PDF using a retired code that DU no longer recognizes. DU does not return a PDF in response. Blend falls back to generating its own PDF from the HTML findings and stores that on the loan as the findings document. No error is raised; the document appears to be present but is Blend's rendering, not the DU-generated PDF.

New Behavior: Blend requests the findings PDF using the current file type code. DU returns its own generated findings PDF, which Blend uploads to the loan. The findings document on the loan is now the official DU-generated PDF.

All other files requested from DU (findings HTML, findings XML) are unchanged. Findings data, recommendations, and all other DU run behavior are unaffected.
