Date Available: Beta 8/14, Prod 8/14

Which customers are impacted?: Lenders using Empower who opt in.

Required?: No, opt-in.

How to turn on: This will not be automatically enabled for our customers. It will be available beginning on the dates listed above. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com.

Purpose of Update and Benefit: In the Documents tab, each document shows a relative timestamp (e.g., "3 days ago") instead of an exact date and time. For lenders using Empower, this makes it difficult to cross-reference documents in Blend against the same files in the Empower Document Repository, which records an absolute timestamp. This update replaces the relative label with an exact date and time, so teams can identify a specific document across both systems and see how long it takes for a document to reach the LOS.

Current Behavior: In the Documents tab, the time a document was added to the loan file is displayed as a relative label (e.g., "3 days ago").

New Behavior: When enabled, the Documents tab displays the exact date and time each document was added to the loan file, in MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm:ss AM/PM format, in the viewer's local timezone. This replaces the relative "X days ago" label. Documents on Configurable Product applications are not affected and continue to use the existing “UPLOADED ON” column. Documents with no recorded upload time display "--".
