Date Available: Beta 3/27, Prod 3/27

Which customers are impacted?: Lenders with both DU and LPA configured who want to require both engines to run together on the initial submission.

Required?: No, opt-in.

How to turn on: This will not be automatically enabled for our customers. It will be available beginning on the dates listed above. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com.

Purpose of Update and Benefit: This update ensures that the initial AUS submission runs both DU and LPA together. Running both engines simultaneously on the first submission helps provide more consistent results and ensures that both AUS findings are available at the start of the underwriting process.

Current Behavior: Loan officers can initiate automated underwriting by selecting:

  • Run DU

  • Run LPA

  • Run DU & LPA

Each option can be triggered independently, allowing the initial submission to run through one or both AUS engines.

New Behavior: For configured lenders, the standalone Run DU and Run LPA options are removed for the initial AUS run. The only available first-run option is Run DU & LPA, which executes both engines simultaneously.

Lenders without this configuration will continue to experience the existing behavior.
