Date Available: Beta 3/27, Prod 3/27
Which customers are impacted?: Lenders using loan scenario sharing with borrowers who opt in to the new configuration.
Required?: No, opt-in.
How to turn on: This will not be automatically enabled for our customers. It will be available beginning on the dates listed above. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com.
Purpose of Update and Benefit: Some lenders may share loan scenarios with borrowers without including fees. In these cases, the “Estimated Cash to Close” section can be misleading because it may reflect fees paid to the lender rather than the borrower’s true cash to close.
This update introduces an admin configuration that allows lenders to hide this section when fees are not included, ensuring a more accurate and consistent borrower experience.
Current Behavior: The “Estimated Cash to Close” section is always displayed on the borrower loan scenarios screen when scenario data includes it, regardless of whether fees are included in the shared scenario.
New Behavior: A new admin configuration option allows lenders to hide the “Estimated Cash to Close” section on the borrower loan scenarios screen. When enabled, this section is not displayed to borrowers.
