Purpose of Update and Benefit: A dedicated “Modular” property-type enumeration has been added for Home Equity loans so that modular homes are represented accurately in both the application experience and LOS.
This update allows borrowers and lenders to select “Modular” explicitly, reducing confusion when originating modular-home loans and keeping the application UI and LOS mapping aligned with MISMO-based property-type definitions.
Current Behavior: The Home Equity application does not offer “Modular” as a standalone property-type option. Borrowers and lenders must select another category (for example, “Manufactured”) when the subject property is modular.
New Behavior: The property-type dropdown for Home Equity loans now includes “Modular” as a distinct, selectable value. When selected, the application passes the appropriate value through the existing LOS integration, where it is consumed as the “Modular” property-type enumeration, aligned with MISMO standards.
