Date Available: Beta 3/27, Prod 3/27
Which customers are impacted?: Lenders with event-based integrations who subscribe to the new loan officer takeover event.
Required?: No, opt-in.
How to turn on: This will not be automatically enabled for our customers. It will be available beginning on the dates listed above. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com.
Purpose of Update and Benefit: This update introduces a new event to improve visibility when a loan officer takes over a borrower’s application. Previously, downstream systems had no way to detect this handoff, which could lead to gaps in workflows and reporting.
With this enhancement, customers can subscribe to a new event that triggers when a loan officer takes over an application, enabling downstream systems (such as CRM platforms) to automatically create or update records and maintain workflow continuity.
Current Behavior: When a loan officer takes over a borrower’s application, no event is triggered, and downstream systems are not notified. This can result in missing records or incomplete workflows for customers relying on event-driven integrations.
New Behavior: A new event is triggered when a loan officer takes over a borrower’s application. Customers can subscribe to this event to power downstream workflows, such as creating or updating records in connected systems, without requiring the borrower to complete the application flow.
