Encompass Loan Updates Now Support Loan Template Inclusion

Purpose of Update and Benefit:

This update ensures that loan template selection in Encompass remains consistent throughout the loan lifecycle, even when loan attributes (such as loan type) change after initial creation. By including the appropriate loan template on loan update requests, lenders can avoid mismatches, reduce manual corrections, and ensure Encompass loans continue to align with their configured template strategy.

Current Behavior:

When exporting a loan to Encompass, Blend includes a customer-specific loan template during loan creation. However, during subsequent loan updates (PATCH requests), Blend does not currently include the loan template. For customers using multiple templates (e.g., by loan type), this can result in loans becoming misaligned with the correct template if loan attributes change after creation.

New Behavior:

When this configuration is enabled, Blend will include the appropriate loan template (templatePath) on Encompass loan update (PATCH) requests, derived from the same logic used during loan creation. This ensures that Encompass loans remain aligned with the correct template throughout updates, without modifying loan folder or loan officer parameters.
