Date Available: Available now
Which customers are impacted?: Customers originating HELOC applications.
Required?: Yes, this is a required release. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in the codebase, and typically do not require additional configuration.
How to turn on: This feature has been enabled in beta and production.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
The ability to provide a description when HELOC purpose = “Other” existed in the borrower application already, however this field did not appear in the banker application. This gap has been closed, and users working on loans in the banker application can now provide more context if the HELOC description is “Other”.
Current Behavior:
Currently, borrowers applying for a HELOC will see a “Description” field appear if they choose “Other” for “Line of Credit Purpose.”
The information provided in this borrower-facing field is included in the MISMO (blend:HomeEquityLoanPurposeOtherDescription).
In the banker application, this field does not exist in the user interface.
New Behavior:
This gap has been closed, and users performing application intake using the banker application will now see the Description field appear if they select “Other” from the “Line of credit purpose” dropdown.
The value entered in the Description field will appear in the MISMO using the same identifier that is used for the field in the borrower application (blend:HomeEquityLoanPurposeOtherDescription).
