Date Available: Available now for all products built on Blend Builder Platform in beta and production.
Which customers are impacted?: Any customer who is currently using products built on Blend Builder Platform may request this feature to be enabled.
Required?: No, opt-in.
How to turn on: This will not be automatically enabled. Blend customers who would like to take advantage of this functionality should reach out to their Blend account representative to coordinate enablement via the Innovation Services team.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
The current archiving mechanism in Blend applies to all applications and products that are in use in a given environment. In some cases, Blend customers may wish to remove applications that have never been submitted by the consumer (a.k.a. abandoned applications) in a shorter timeframe than applications that have been submitted. Blend is introducing the ability to configure an archive timer that only applies to unsubmitted applications. Applications that remain In Progress beyond the configured amount of time will automatically be archived. The timer begins when an application is started. This feature is not retroactive, and it will not impact the timer for purging loans once they are archived.
Current Behavior:
Currently, the automated archival mechanism at Blend is a global setting for the environment and does not distinguish between application statuses or product types.
New Behavior:
If enabled, Blend customers can configure a timer that will automatically archive any application whose status is In Progress. The timer will begin when an application is created. This timer can be configured on a per-product basis, for any application built on Blend Builder Platform.
Enterprise users will still be able to find and access applications that are archived this way when searching in the pipeline.
Enterprise users with the appropriate user permissions will be able to manually unarchive these applications. Any application that is unarchived this way will be subject to this same archive timer until/unless the application status changes from In Progress to anything else.
Consumers will see the following:
This feature is not retroactive. Any application that was started prior to the date that this feature is enabled will not be governed by the timer.
