Which customers are impacted?
Customers who allow sharing a borrower’s pre-approval letter with real estate agents in Blend.
How to turn on
This feature will automatically be turned on for all customers on the dates listed above.
Purpose of Update and Benefit
Due to the migration from Docusign to OneSpan, Blend has updated the pre-approval letter (PAL) workflow to require that all realtors view the PAL in their loan hubs. If a realtor has not yet activated their account, the loan team will be required to invite them to create an account first.
These changes will only affect customers who use the PAL in their Blend environment and are mandatory, as they are a result of our migration to OneSpan. Customers will also need to enable the Third Party Recipients (TPRs) workflow, otherwise real estate agents will not be added as recipients of the PAL.
Current Behavior
Real estate agents only need to be added to the Contacts section of the lender application in order to be a recipient of the PAL. Delivery of the letter is done via email with DocuSign.
New Behavior
Real estate agents must be added to the Contacts section and Manage Third Parties modal in order to be included as potential recipients for the pre-approval letter. Real estate agents will need to activate an account in Blend, then navigate to the Documents tab in order to retrieve the pre-approval letter after it is shared with them by the loan team. Real estate agents who use the Blend agent mobile app can continue to view and edit pre-approval letters in the app, as long as this has been enabled by the customer.
The realtor workflows in the product guide have been updated with this new flow.
