Date Available:
Beta 4/25, Prod 5/23
Which customers are impacted?:
Customers with an integrated pricing engine in Blend.
How to turn on:
This feature will automatically be enabled for customers on the dates listed above.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
Blend currently shows a generic error message whenever an error occurs when running a pricing search. With this release, the error message will include the exact error from the pricing engine’s API response, if one is provided. This will allow lender users to better understand and mitigate the cause of pricing search errors.
This change will only be visible in the lender application.
Current Behavior:
Currently, Blend surfaces a generic error message if and when the pricing search request returns an error.
New Behavior:
If an integrated pricing engine returns a descriptive error message as part of their API response, the banner will show the contents of the error message from the API response rather than our generic error.
Some pricing engine integrations do not include error message details in the API response, so the messages that appear - and whether they appear at all - will vary depending on the pricing engine. If users have questions about the error messages they are receiving when running pricing, they can contact Blend Support or their Blend representative.
