Which customers are impacted?

Customers using Empower, AUS (LPA or DU) in Blend

How to turn on

This feature will automatically be configured for Empower customers on the

dates listed above.

Purpose of Update and Benefit

In October, Black Knight introduced a change to their import MISMO API for Empower 9.3 so that it no longer ingests Fannie Mae’s case file ID (for DU) or Freddie Mac’s Underwriting key (for LPA) by default. In order to maintain feature parity between 9.3 and previous versions,

Blend will need to apply a fix that will patch AUS casefile IDs in all customer environments after they migrate to the most updated version. If we do not apply this fix, lenders will be unable to reissue AUS in Empower if AUS was initially run in Blend.

Customers using Empower in Blend will remember that their Account Partner has already reached out to them regarding this fix back in October. At the time, Blend decided to hold on rolling it out to all customers in order to further test how it would impact customers who hadn’t yet migrated to Empower 9.3. The Empower integration team has now tested the feature with versions lower than 9.3 and are confident that it will cause no impact, and so this feature will be enabled for all Empower customers, regardless of version.

Current Behavior

Currently, Empower 9.3 will not ingest Fannie Mae’s case file ID or Freddie Mac’s UW Key. This will prevent lenders from reissuing AUS in Empower if AUS was initially run in Blend.

New Behavior

Blend will patch the case file ID and/or UW key so that lenders can reissue AUS in Empower if it was initially run in Blend.
