Date Available: Beta 4/23, Prod 5/21

Which customers are impacted?: Customers who perform lender-side application intake for  mortgage and home equity applications in Blend’s Lending platform.

How to turn on: This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above.

Purpose of Update and Benefit:
This release ensures two additions to functionality:

  1. The Blend-generated HMDA report is created for lender-entered applications upon any changes to the HMDA section of the lender view of a Blend application.
  2. Any app exported by a lender user will regenerate the HMDA report to reflect the latest information.

Current Behavior:
Prior to this release, the only way to generate a HMDA report for a lender-entered application (where the borrower has not been invited or started the application in any form) was to manually download the application package. Additionally, abandoned borrower-started applications that are exported by lender users would also not generate a HMDA report automatically.

New Behavior:
With this release, for lender-entered applications, the HMDA report will automatically generate any time HMDA information is saved, or export is initiated from the lender application. This includes re-generating if any HMDA information is altered and saved.
