We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.

Purpose of Update and Benefit:
We have added the ability for lenders to block sending pre-approval letters to borrowers under the following conditions:
When the loan team has initiated a lender takeover
When the most recent AUS result returns anything other than “Approve/Eligible”
These settings are available on an opt-in basis. Please contact Blend Support or your Blend representative to enable one or both of these in your environment.
New Behavior:
These new settings will only prevent the generation of new pre-approval letters. All PALs generated prior to these features being enabled will still be available in the Documents tabs. When enabled, PALs will be blocked from being generated in all places (lender application, borrower application, mobile).
Block Sending Pre-approval Letter if LO loan takeover:
This setting will prevent loan teams from generating a pre-approval letter if the loan team clicks “Take over” from the banner at the top of the lender application
The “Send letter” button in the header menu of the lender application will be grayed out, and when you hover, a message will appear indicating the feature is unavailable after the loan has been taken over.
Block Sending Pre-approval Letter if AUS does not return “Approve/Eligible” result:
This setting will prevent loan teams from sending a pre-approval letter if the most recent AUS result was anything other than “Approve/Eligible”.
When enabled, the “Send letter” button in the header menu of the lender application will be grayed out, and hover text will indicate that it will become active again if there is an “Approve/Eligible” response.
