(Update 8/27/2025) The event that is emitted when an eNote is signed will only fire if the eNote is originated from eOriginal. It will not be emitted when originated from other providers, including DocMagic. The text has been updated to reflect this limitation. Additionally, the text has been updated to reflect the character limit for the custom field (20).

Date Available: Available now, opt-in

Which customers are impacted?: Customers who use eNotes with eOriginal in Blend and use Encompass as their integrated LOS may take advantage of this feature.

Required?: No, opt-in.

How to turn on: This will not be automatically enabled for our customers. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com.

Purpose of Update and Benefit:

The Encompass NextGen eNote Signed integration can be used to update a custom field in Encompass each time an eNote is completed. This will allow customers to better track when an eNote is signed.

Current Behavior:

The eNote would be sent to Encompass but there was no field that could be used to monitor a pipeline to see when an eNote was signed.

New Behavior:

When an eNote is signed in Blend, the current date/time (UTC) is sent to an Encompass custom field (CX.BLEND.ENOTESIGNED). Customers must configure this field in their Encompass instance prior to enabling this event. It is a string field, and the character limit for this field is 20.

Please Note: If a loan is locked at the time the value is set, the event will not occur. If the loan is later unlocked, the update will be re-attempted using an exponential backoff for up to 6 retries over several hours, at which point the event will fail.
