Finicity Returning User Experience Update

Which customers are impacted?: Deposit Account customers who leverage Finicity for connectivity. 

Required?: Yes, this is a required release. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in the codebase, and typically do not require additional configuration. 

How to turn on: 

• This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above by Finicity. 

Purpose of Update and Benefit: For returning users, sharing financial data becomes even simpler with Connect. After a quick initial registration and account linking, subsequent sessions require fewer steps for secure data sharing. Moreover, users gain easy access to their data activity through connections.finicity.com or a unique SMS link received after each sharing instance. This efficient process enhances user trust and satisfaction by making data sharing transparent and effortless.

Current Behavior: Returning User Experience is a new feature. 

New Behavior: 

With the Returning User Experience (RUX) activated users will be prompted to optionally provide their phone number and conduct an OTP verification process which allows them to bypass account selection in future sessions and proceed directly to choosing their Financial Institutions (FIs) based on previously shared accounts. Users can then easily view all their active data connections via a dedicated dashboard, the link to which is also sent via SMS each time they link a new account with a partner utilizing RUX.
