Support for Freddie Mac’s on-time rent payment history enhancement in Loan Product Advisor® (LPA)
Freddie Mac announced that the Loan Product Advisor® (LPA) service will increase homeownership opportunities for first-time homebuyers by considering on-time rent payments as part of the company’s loan purchase decisions. Blend will be able to support this new enhancement when Freddie Mac officially includes this functionality in LPA starting July 10th.
Once enabled, Blend will provide 12 months of asset data to Freddie Mac for accounts linked by borrowers in the application. The LPA service will then automatically review the data and pass feedback to the lender in the LPA results file. No additional work is required from borrowers or loan team members in order to submit this data to LPA, and there will be no changes to the borrower or loan team workflow.
Please contact Blend Support or your Blend Representative to enable this LPA enhancement in your Blend environment.
