Purpose of Update and Benefit:

Why is Blend updating its Terms of Use and Privacy Policy?

Blend reviews its Terms of Use and Privacy Policy annually to account for any regulatory changes (e.g., changes in privacy laws), address any updates to products or services offered through the Blend platform, and make any stylistic changes that further increase readability for consumers. An overview of this year’s changes is detailed below. 

What’s changing in the Terms of Use? 

The Terms of Use now include information about Blend’s multi-factor authentication (“MFA”) SMS program. Other minor changes provide clarity around submitted information and account information, cross-reference Blend’s Privacy Policy, and update language for CA residents due to changes in the CA Civil Code.  

What’s changing in the Privacy Policy? 

For the avoidance of doubt, Blend’s privacy practices have not changed. Minor updates have been made to the Privacy Policy in order to cross-reference Blend’s multi-factor authentication SMS program (specifically that we do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose phone numbers for marketing purposes) and clarify the categories of information we may collect. 

What to expect:

The updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Use will be available to review in your beta environment on January 23, 2024, and will be live in production February 27, 2024. If you would like a copy of the updated versions, please reach out to your account partner.
