Which customers are impacted?: Customers using DU and/or LPA in Blend. Customers must also have enabled the previous DU and LPA upgrades and have enabled the SCIF updates.
How to turn on: This feature will automatically be turned on for all customers on the dates listed above.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
This release will update Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter (DU) to version 1.8.3 and Freddie Mac’s Loan Product Advisor (LPA) to version 5.2.00. All upgrades as part of this release have been tested and approved by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, respectively.
Please note that the majority of the changes for both AUS version upgrades are related to the SCIF requirements and are being completed as part of our “Support for Supplemental Consumer Information Form (SCIF)” release. Therefore customers will want to ensure that the SCIF feature is enabled in their environment to ensure all changes for the version upgrades are reflected in their environment(s).
Current Behavior:
Blend is currently on LPA 5.1.00 and DU 1.8.2.

Added a home width type for Manufactured Home property types
When “Manufactured Home” is selected for the Property Type in the Subject Property Information section, a new dropdown called “Home Width Type” will appear. Loan teams will be able to choose “Multi-Wide” or “Single-Wide” from that second dropdown.
The corresponding width type will be populated in the mismo
Add the question “Is this a contract for deed transaction”? In order to capture and export this value in the MISMO, a config needs to be enabled for customers. Please contact Blend Support or your Blend representative in order to configure this in your environment.

Updated the PurchaseCreditSourceType enumeration for “Closing Costs” selected in “Other Assets”.

Updated the conditionality for when we send FHASecondaryResidenceIndicator under declarations
Updated the conditionality for when we send PresentlyDelinquentIndicator
Added a text field for “Other monthly costs” in the REO section called “Other monthly costs description”. This field will only appear when an amount is entered into “Other monthly costs”. This field will be exported in MISMO.
Added a new dropdown question for related loans in the other new mortgage loan information section (in Subject Property Information). We included enumerations that are accepted by DU and LPA.
