Convert Closing Type With a Pre-Existing eNote

Purpose of Update and Benefit:

Lenders wind up in situations where they want to be able to convert the closing type from RON to Hybrid or Traditional. When this happens, they have already selected the RON closing type, generated eNotes, and sent the closing to Blend. Previously, we blocked them from changing the closing type afterwards due to limitations from the eNote endpoint. 

Kensie Mae Plugin Release 22.4.1 will now send a DELETE to the endpoint and recreate the eNote (when necessary) upon sending the closing.

New Behavior

If an LO discovers that they need their closing, for example: from RON to Hybrid or Traditional, they can change the Closing type within the Closing Management module. 

The following steps should be taken to delete a pre-existing eNote before changing the Closing Type: 

• Click “Manage Documents”

• Select the eNote that is attached to the closing and hit the “X”. This will DELETE the enote in place.

• Back on the eClosing Management Screen, the user can proceed with the following:

  • Select Hybrid and “Send”, which will generate a new eNote.  

  • Select Traditional and “Send”, which will generate a Paper Note
