Why is Blend changing its Privacy Policy?

Blend reviews its Privacy Policy annually to account for any changes in privacy laws, address any updates to products or services offered through the Blend platform, and make any stylistic changes that further increase readability for consumers. For the avoidance of doubt, Blend’s privacy practices have not changed. An overview of this year’s changes is detailed below.

What is changing in the Privacy Policy?

Most of the changes are designed to account for the California Privacy Rights Act.

Other changes provide clarity about integrated identity verification service providers, account for the use of new data provider partners, reference Blend affiliates and Financial Services Providers where applicable, and remove categories of information that are not collected in Blend.

Why is Blend updating its Terms of Use?

Blend is updating its terms of use to describe how biometric data may be collected and used in the platform, and to capture the borrower’s consent to that collection/use. We are also adding clarity about account information.

What to expect:

The updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Use will be available to review in your beta environment next week, and will be live in production on December 12, 2022. If you would like a copy of the updated versions, please reach out to your account partner.
