DU v1.8.4 upgrade

Customers using DU in Blend.

How to turn on:

• This feature will be automatically enabled for all customers on the dates listed above.

Purpose of Update and Benefit:

This release will update the Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter (DU) to version 1.8.4 in Blend. This is required by Fannie Mae and will only impact customers who use DU in their Blend environment(s). This update now includes all of the previous version updates as well.

Current Behavior:

The current DU version is v1.8.3.

New Behavior:

The main update is updating the AboutVersionIdentifier to DU Spec 1.8.4. Most of the changes were implementation notes or definitions that did not require a data change. One thing to call out is an update to the accepted enumerations for GovernmentRefinanceType. Below are changes made by DU as part of this upgrade:

1. FullDocumentation - is supported for FHA, VA loans
2. InterestRateReductionRefinanceLoan - only for VA loans
3. StreamlineWithoutAppraisal - is supported for FHA loans If an enumeration that is not DU approved is selected and sent to DU, then the DU output will show an error. If a non-valid enumeration is sent for one of the govt loan types (ie, InterestRateReductionRefinanceLoan is selected for FHA), the DU output will also show an error.
