Date Available: Beta 7/02, Prod 7/30
Which customers are impacted?: Customers using the lender mortgage application.
Required?: Yes, this is a required release. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in our codebase, and typically do not require additional configuration.
How to turn on: This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
In addition to the recent release of “Updating REO joint ownership structure,” we are also updating the joint ownership selection for assets. Following a similar logic, users will now select the primary asset holder and additional owners and be able to indicate joint ownership across non-paired borrowers.
Note: This feature will also support the upcoming changes for 3+ borrowers.
Current Behavior:
The current behavior shows up as a checkbox in the lender UI, to indicate if an asset is jointly owned.
New Behavior:
Now available, users will first select an owner and then indicate additional asset owners.
Once a primary owner is selected, users can add additional joint account owners to the accounts in the selected institution.
Additional Note: Please note that this feature is only applicable to new applications created.
