Date Available: Beta 9/5, Prod 10/3
Which customers are impacted?: Customers who have configured Private Mortgage Insurance in their Blend environment(s).
How to turn on: This feature will be automatically enabled for all customers on the dates listed above.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
Blend is updating our PMI call so that requests that are made to integrated providers will include city and county fields. This change will improve the accuracy of the PMI quotes, as the city or county of some states may include an additional tax on the mortgage insurance policy. Including these fields in the request will allow our providers to evaluate whether those taxes need to be included in the total mortgage insurance rate or not.
Current Behavior:
Blend does not include city and county fields in PMI requests. If configured PMI providers need those fields to return a quote, loan teams would see an error in the MI Response Details modal explaining that those fields are required.
New Behavior:
If the loan includes city and county, those fields will be passed in requests to configured PMI providers.
