We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.

(New) Blend Public API v7.0.0 Release
Version 7.0.0 of the Blend Public API will be released to General Availability (GA) on November 3, 2023. As part of our API release cadence, v7.0.0 allows for the introduction of breaking changes, but does not introduce any changes to previous versions of the API.
Previous major versions of the Blend Public API remain available and supported after the release of v7.0.0. The primary impact of the GA release of v7.0.0 is that we will not introduce new breaking changes to v7.0.0 after November 3.
As a reminder, starting with the previous release, v6.0.0, Blend changed the release cadence for our Public API. API versions are now released every six months. Additionally, all API releases are now major releases, allowing for the introduction of breaking changes.
Some highlights of v7.0.0 of the Blend Public API include:

LendingQB / MeridianLink Mortgage OAuth Requirement
LendingQB / MeridianLink Mortgage requires a new authentication protocol (OAuth) per updated security requirements and framework. LOS Administrators will need to add Blend Integration to their services and appropriate API user. Please set this up in Beta and test by 11/30/23. Production set up will need to be completed by 12/31/23. MeridianLink has also sent information on this item as well for further details.
You may reach out to Blend Support if you have any questions.
Backend Upgrades to Fee Management Service
Over the next few weeks (between October 31 and November 28), Blend will introduce backend improvements to our fees integration service that will improve the merging logic when duplicate fees are returned in the fee response. This will only impact customers who have integrated a third-party fee management service in Blend, or who are receiving fees from their configured product and pricing engine (PPE).
There will be no UI impacts with this change, and we are not changing existing calculations for Fees in Blend. While we do not anticipate any issues to arise with this change, lender users are encouraged to reach out to their account teams to escalate and resolve any issues, if any are observed.
