Date Available: Beta 4/25, Prod 5/09

Which customers are impacted?:

Customers using Optimal Blue for their pricing integration in Blend.

How to turn on:

This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above.

Purpose of Update and Benefit:

Late last year, Optimal Blue announced an upgrade to their pricing API that would allow them to calculate the percentage of area median income (AMI) based on a borrower’s monthly income. With this release, Blend will begin supporting this upgrade by sending monthlyIncome to Optimal Blue as part of the pricing search request API call so that the percentage of AMI can be calculated. This will allow Optimal Blue customers to receive the most accurate pricing and eligibility.

This feature will not impact the borrower or lender user interface (UI), nor will it impact any core functionality within Blend.

Current Behavior:

Currently, Blend does not send monthly income to Optimal Blue.

New Behavior:

When enabled, Blend will pass the borrower’s monthly income value to Optimal Blue during pricing search requests, if monthly income is on the application at the time of the search. If monthly income is not available on the application at the time, the search request will not include the monthly income, but this will not prevent lender users from conducting their search(es).

Customers who want to know more about how percentage or AMI is calculated and used to generate pricing results should get in touch with their Optimal Blue representative.
