Date Available: Available now in beta and production environments.
Which customers are impacted?: Any customer with products live on Builder
Required?: Yes, this is a required release for customers. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in our codebase, and typically do not require additional configuration.
How to turn on: This feature is available now in beta and production environments.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
Customers with products live on Builder will now be able to restrict new custom pipeline views to specific User Roles. This enhancement will help users to remain focused by allowing them to see only the pipeline views that are relevant to their User Roles.
Previous Behavior:
Previously, all custom pipeline views were visible to all enterprise users.
New Behavior:
When creating a new pipeline view, enterprise users will see a new “Accessible by” dropdown menu. This will be set to “All users” by default.
To limit access to the new view, users will need to select “Specific user roles.” A new dropdown menu for “User roles” will appear. Users will use that menu to select which user roles should be able to see the new pipeline view. Multiple user roles can be selected from that menu.
User roles must be configured in the Setup panel (Your Settings -> Setup -> Role Permissions) before they can be selected in the “Create a new view” menu. Users will only be able to see views that their User Role has been added to using this workflow.
