Encompass Credit Reissue upon Lender Export

Which customers are impacted?:

Available for customers using Encompass NextGen, and who have enabled credit.

How to turn on:

This will not be automatically enabled for our customers. It will be available beginning on the dates listed above. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com. For customers who have previously requested to enable this same feature upon borrower submit (which was made available and announced in May 2022), this feature will be automatically enabled in their production environments without further action needed.

Purpose of Update and Benefit:

When Credit is pulled in Blend prior to lender export, we will reissue Credit in Encompass immediately following export.

This is an opt-in feature that is available for customers using Encompass NextGen, and for customers who have credit enabled. This will work for mortgage and home equity (including the Branch Banker version). Please contact Blend Support or your Blend representative to enable this in your environment.

Current Behavior:

When Credit is pulled in Blend prior to lender export, we will not reissue Credit in Encompass.

New Behavior:

With this feature enabled, in addition to the base mapping, we will also call an Encompass API to reissue credit for that credit provider so that the pull is recognized in Encompass. If this feature is already enabled on borrower submit, there is no impact or change required, it will then also be enabled for lender export. The result of the credit reissue will appear in the activity feed. The reissue will require the loan to be unlocked in Encompass while this process occurs.
