Consumer Banking on Builder UI Updates

Required?: Yes, this is a required release. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in the codebase.

• The UI updates are informed by the existing branding configurations that you have in Builder. If you would like to make adjustments to your logo, color, or buttons, please reach out to the IS team.  

How to turn on:

• This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above. To see the visual updates, the Blend team will need to do a re-publish of the template after the release dates. 

Purpose of Update and Benefit: Blend has invested in a refreshed, modernized user interface for consumer banking digital products on Blend Builder.

Current Behavior: The left hand navigation for web applications does not take into consideration the brand’s colors. There is also not a mobile navigation bar or mobile logo that can be configured. 

New Behavior: Many of you have already seen the new UI updates in your environment, as they have been live since early August. Below are the key changes that you will see in your environment: 

Updates to the progress bar and left hand navigation seamlessly integrate your brand’s color to enhance the application look more dynamic and modern. The colors are auto generated based on the configured primary color used in your current theme. This update can be seen on both web and mobile. These changes are enabled by default. 

We have also introduced more configurability of themes, including the ability to add a logo in the mobile navigation view. These updates will be enabled by Innovation Services based on Blend’s design best practices. The logo that appears in the navigation view needs to be a 1:1 aspect ratio (38x38px). The maximum supported size is 1 MB. Supported file types are .svg, .png, .jpeg, .jpg.
