Update 7/23: The production date has been moved back by two days. Customers can expect to use this feature in their production environments on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Date Available: Beta 7/16, Prod 7/25
Which customers are impacted?: Any customers utilizing integrations to post follow-ups to Blend.
Required?: Yes, this is a required release. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in our codebase, and typically do not require additional configuration.
How to turn on: This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above.
Purpose of Update and Benefit:
This update allows integrators to Blend’s APIs to post follow-ups with a status of “suggested” as opposed to simply “requested”. Suggested follow-ups can be used to require user confirmation before notifying the borrower, rather than sending an email to the borrower immediately.
Current Behavior:
Currently, It’s not possible to post a suggested follow-up to a Blend loan via any integration.
New Behavior:
With this release, integrators will have the ability to post suggested follow-ups to Blend loans via the API. This behavior is controlled solely by the integration, and is not able to be used by any other means (i.e. Blend intelligence or custom follow-ups in the lender view). Since many integrators are third parties separate from lenders, there may be enhancements to those integrations separate from clients’ individual testing efforts. This release note is to highlight that this functionality may be utilized by third parties and should be tested and validated accordingly.
