Blend Release Notes - 2022/08/12

For this release, we anticipate the following introductions in your environments. Each entry below is linked to their specific update containing more information. Major features are documented in the Blend Knowledge Base accessible at Blend Help Center.

Announcement

Last week, we posted about an Encompass Mapping Update for the Loan Program field. We initially planned to automatically enable this for all customers using Encompass, however after hearing feedback this week, any customer who wishes to opt out of this update will be able to do so. If you do not wish to have this update enabled, please reach out to Blend Support by 8/15. If you do not contact us to request opt-out by 8/15, this mapping update will be automatically enabled for your environment with our release the evening of 8/16.  If you request to opt-out after this date, we will process your request as a part of our configuration queue.

Maintenance Announcement

Connectivity Database Upgrade

Connectivity services will be moving from using RDS to AWS Aurora. Postgres will be upgrading from version 10.17 to 13.7. During this time asset and credit functionalities will not work. Any public api endpoints for credit and asset connectivity will also experience timeouts.

Expected downtime: 2 hours

Impact: 

• Borrowers will not be able to connect assets and credit functionalities will not work.

• Any public api endpoints for credit and assets connectivity will experience timeouts.

Affected Period:

• Beta: Expecting 2 hours, 4 hours maximum, August 29, 12AM-4AM PDT. August 30 12AM - 4AM (backup option)

• Prod: Expecting 2 hours, 4 hours maximum, September 7, 12AM-4AM PDT, September 8 12AM - 4AM (backup option)

Preview Environments (Test/Dev/Beta)

• (New) Empower Integration: Empower Loan Reference number now being patched to Blend Reference number post loan export, Beta 08/16, Prod 08/30
• (New) Indicate if a property is free and clear, Beta 08/16, Prod 09/13

Production Environment (Prod) 

• Blend Public API v5.2.0 Release, 08/15 Prod
• Encompass Mapping Updates, 08/16 Prod
