What’s the difference between my current integration and the new integration?
The integration is built and maintained by Blend (the current integration is built and owned by Ellie Mae), enabling Blend to provide 1st party support to customers, while giving Blend more control over development velocity, future roadmap, and customer feature requests.
Improvements available in the version released on 11/12 include improvements to Auto Sync and the addition of Loan Updates, the ability to update data in Blend and export to Encompass after the initial export. The Product Guide has detailed information about functionality.
What are the differences with Auto Sync?
Auto-Sync is now a native feature to the Blend integration that facilitates the automatic syncing of data and documents between Blend and Encompass. It is available as part of the new integration and no longer requires a separate service.
Is there any impact to the Kensie Mae Plug-in or Mace Innovations today?
- No, you can continue to use either Mace or KM for disclosures delivery and add’l features not yet available in new integration. The KensieMae Plug-in and Mace Innovations solutions are built using the Encompass SDK
- The new integration is at parity with the Data and Docs functionality offered today by the Mace solution, so will replace those features in the Mace solution. Other than beta testing the new integration, there will be no impact for Mace customers.
Is the upcoming Freddie Mac LPA integration (requires New URLA) available to test?
Not at this time, but we anticipate in late November. Availability will be communicated via the release notes.
When can I migrate to the New URLA in production?
On a guided basis, beginning in early January. Blend will be working with customers in early December to schedule dates for go-live. If enabling the New Blend-Encompass integration, go-live can be scheduled concurrently.
What do I need to do to migrate to the new Blend-Encompass integration starting 11/12/20?
The first step is to follow this document to create a new API user in Encompass. Please reach out to Blend Support if you would like to have someone walk through the set-up with you.
