Encompass Auto-Sync is an opt-in functionality built by Ellie Mae Professional Services that allows lenders to automate the transfer of data and documents from Blend into Encompass. Lenders can work with Ellie Mae and Blend to install one or both of the utilities.
Functionality
- Automated one-time data export of loans from Blend into Encompass
- Utility will be a task that is scheduled to run so that un-exported, eligible loans will be imported from Blend to Encompass at the configured frequency (we recommend no faster than 15 min).
- Eligible loans are those with Export Status = Ready to Export (i.e. when borrower submits the app, lender app triggers TRID, or lender clicks export in Blend) and Added to Pipeline.
- Loans can still be manually imported through the partnership integration, if desired.
- Automated recurring doc export from Blend into Encompass
- Un-exported docs generated or collected in Blend will transfer to Encompass at the configured interval.
- The loan associated to the document must already be imported in order for docs to begin syncing.
- Docs can still be manually retrieved through the partnership integration, if desired.
Limitations
- Disclosures retrieval is not yet supported by the auto-sync utility.
- Auto-sync for follow-up loans that were started in Blend are not supported. However, it will sync docs for Encompass-started loans that are in Blend as a follow-up only loan.
- Any customers with a Blend-Velocify integration
- This approach interferes with the Auto-Sync data utility because Auto-Sync cannot import into an already created loan file. It creates the loan file that the Blend loan will be imported into.
- Customers can only specify one template as the default template that is applied for Auto-Synced loans.
Setup
- Contact your Ellie Mae Encompass Relationship Manager and cc your Blend Account Manager and express interest in installing Auto-Sync.
- Pay the nominal one-time setup fee: $4k to Ellie Mae Professional Services team.
- Your Ellie Mae Relationship Manager will coordinate a statement-of-work and necessary agreement.
- Your Blend Account Manager or Deployment Lead will provide API credentials for the configuration of the Auto-Sync utility.
- Finalize pre-installation technical setup:
- Set up a Windows server with your IT department.
- Ensure that outgoing calls to api.beta.blendlabs.com & api.blendlabs.com with port 443 can be made from server.
- Install Encompass360 onto the server.
- Store the credentials that were given to you by your Blend Account Manager or Deployment Lead.
- Set up a Windows server with your IT department.
- A joint call between Ellie Mae Professional Services and Blend will be necessary at this point to install the Auto-Sync utility into your windows server. Installation time is typically 30 minutes.
- Download the Blend Batch Utility zip file that Ellie Mae will provide.
- Extract all files from the zip file and store in a central location on the server.
- Configure the 2 utilities
- Data Auto Sync (BlendBatchLoanImportUtility.exe)
- Docs Auto Sync (BlendBatchDocumentImportUtility.exe)
- Set up two jobs on your server for each of the utilities to run every x minutes
- Minimum interval length: 15 minutes
- Make sure that all of the LOs/users that would want to be assigned to the loan in Encompass have the LO’s username configured in Blend in the admin → user section.
