Borrowers can upload documents through the borrower portal This allows borrowers to include additional documents that may have been missed from a follow-up request.

Note: This feature is available as an opt-in configuration. If you are a Blend administrator and are interested in using this feature, please contact Blend Support.
How borrowers can upload documents through the borrower portal
Borrowers can upload documents after they submit the application. If the loan has closed, borrowers can still access the portal and upload documents until the application is purged from Blend.
- Go to Documents.
- Click Upload documents.
If there are no documents, borrowers will see an Upload documents button.
If there are existing documents, borrowers will see an Upload documents link.
- After uploading the document, borrowers can choose to add another file or click "I'm done" to finish.
If borrowers get an error uploading a file
Password-protected files are not supported. Make sure borrowers are uploading files that are not password protected and try again.

There was an error uploading your file(s). Please make sure that none of your files are password-protected and try uploading again.
Where borrowers can find documents in the borrower portal
Generated Documents and Uploaded Documents will be shown in separate sections in the Documents tab of the borrower portal.
Note:

Borrowers can always return to the Documents page to view current documents or upload more.

Lenders can choose to share or unshare Generated Documents with borrowers. This is done via the DOCS tab in the lender portal. Unshared documents will not be displayed to the borrower.
Viewing borrower uploaded documents on the lender side of the application
Lenders can view borrower-uploaded documents in the DOCS tab of the lender application.
Note: Documents uploaded by the borrower will be categorized as Other.
