Borrowers have the ability to upload additional documents via the borrower portal without the need to send a one-off follow-up request for a custom document.
This is an opt-in configuration. Please contact Blend Support to enable this in your environment(s).
Borrowers will be able to upload documents after they submit the application.
1. Navigate to Documents
2. Click Upload documents
|If there are no other documents|
If other documents exist
3. After uploading the desired document, the borrower can choose to add another file or click I'm done to finish
Note: Password-protected documents are not supported
There was an error uploading your file(s). Please make sure that none of your files are password-protected and try uploading again.
Generated Documents and Uploaded Documents will be displayed in separate sections
- Borrowers can always return to the Documents page to view current documents or upload more.
- Lenders can choose to share or unshare Generated Documents with borrowers. This is done via the DOCS tab in the lender portal. Unshared documents will not be displayed to the borrower.

Note: Documents uploaded by the borrower will be categorized as Other.
