Suggested follow-ups
Suggested follow-ups are follow-ups suggested by Blend based on the information the borrower entered during the application process. Suggested follow-ups are not sent automatically allowing loan teams to review and decide if they need to be requested.
Note: Blend suggested follow-ups are configurable. For example: If your company requires three years of tax returns, the Follow-up will request three years of tax returns from borrowers. Please see Blend Intelligence Overview to learn which follow-ups are configurable.
- Go to Follow-Ups and click Review Suggestion to see more information and send the suggested follow-up.
- Review the request, upload any necessary documentation, and add a message, if desired.
- Click Add to draft.
Click View Saved Draft in the Follow-ups tab.
Review your follow-up draft and add or remove follow-ups to the list. When finished, click Review Request to proceed and send the request to the borrower.
Removing a follow-up suggestion
To delete a suggested follow-up, go to the Follow-ups tab and click the X button.
Manually and automatically requested follow-ups
If your organization automatically requests specific follow-ups included with your standard application template, you'll see those separated from the ones manually requested by loan teams.
Marking a follow-up as complete or deleted
Marking a follow-up as complete or deleted requires the role permission Work on loans in process. The options will not appear in the menu without this permission.
- Click … next to the follow-up.a. Mark as complete - You can mark requested follow-ups as complete when the document is received outside of Blend (e.g., via email or in person).
