What is the B button?
The Blend Quick Access Button, most commonly known as the “B button”, provides quick access to essential utilities in Blend.
If the button isn’t present in an Encompass file, users will not be able to issue disclosures through Blend or retrieve packages.
First, check the two settings below
Setting A - Integration roll out
The Limited roll out of the integration is a global setting found in the Blend Integration Settings. Any changes made here will impact all loans.
If the Limited roll out of the integration setting is checked, loans will not be disclosed through Blend by default and the B button will not be displayed unless the setting Included in limited integration roll out is checked at a loan level.
1. Navigate to the KM Tools
2. Click the Blend Integration tile in the Utility Manager
The Integration roll out setting is located in the API Config tab.
Setting B - Included in limited integration roll out
The Included in limited integration roll out checkbox in the Blend Integration form, enables the B button on Encompass files when the Integration roll out setting is checked.
If the Integration roll out setting is not checked, the checkbox above has no impact.

If the B button is still missing
If the B button is still missing after checking settings A and B, there are additional settings that determine if disclosures are to be issued in Blend. If the settings below are configured to issue disclosures outside of Blend, the B button will not appear.
Blend Disclosures Requirement Setting
The Require all loans be disclosed through Blend setting is required to enable the B button. If this setting is not checked, the B button will not appear on any loan.
1. Navigate to the KM Tools
2. Click the Blend Integration tile in the Utility Manager
3. Click the Disclosures tab
CX.BLEND.DISCLOSURES.REQ field setting
If the setting Require all loans be disclosed through Blend is checked, and the B button is still missing on a loan, check the setting CX.BLEND.DISCLOSURES.REQ as it overrides the global setting.
- If CX.BLEND.DISCLOSURES.REQ is set to YES, disclosures will issue through Blend, displaying the B button.
- If CX.BLEND.DISCLOSURES.REQ is set to NO, disclosures will issue outside of Blend, and the B button will not be displayed.
1. Navigate to Forms in the Encompass file
2. Open the Blend Integration form
The CX.BLEND.DISCLOSURES.REQ field will be located at the bottom of the form.
EllieMae Disclosed Loans Setting
If the Honor EllieMae eDisclosures (non-Blend eDisclosures) setting is checked, it disables the Blend integration when disclosures have been issued outside of Blend, thus turning off the B button.
If this is the case, and you wish to issue disclosures in Blend, this setting must be unchecked.
1. Navigate to the KM Tools
2. Click the Blend Integration tile in the Utility Manager
3. Click the Disclosures tab
If your settings are properly configured, the B button should appear as long as the loan is synced to Blend. If the loan is not synced, refer to How to re-establish borrower sync with the KensieMae plugin to learn more.
Note
- Any changes made apply during each loan open event. Please close and re-open the Encompass file for changes to take effect.
- Access to these configuration settings might require elevated access in Encompass. If you don't have access to these tools, reach out to your Encompass administrator for assistance.
